The Doulas of the Red River Valley have a wide range of specialties, experience, and certifications to meet the unique needs for your birth and your baby. Each of us are happy to chat via phone/email or meet in person to discuss our services with you in depth. Just ask!

Laura Devick

Laura’s empathy guides her work with expectant parents, and gives her the compassion and care for doula work and the other birth services she offers. She believes new life is amazing, and birth is a transformative experience for moms, dads, and families. She offers both birth doula and placenta encapsulation services. More info

Brittany Pickard

Brittany is a certified doula through Birth Arts International. She has been practicing as a doula for the past two years, and has begun study to become a certified professional midwife. Her Christian faith informs how she cares for women and their families, treating each family with the utmost respect and care regardless of race, religion, age, or circumstances. More info

Christine Mehl

With over a decade of experience, Christine has attended over 165 births as either a doula, midwife, or midwife’s assistant. She serves all women and families. Christine’s passion is guiding clients through their pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum journey. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in community health education, and a midwifery degree from Midwives College of Utah. More info

Crystal Franco

Crystal trained as a postpartum doula through Natural Resources in San Francisco. She loves educating and coaching women through pregnancy, birth and new parenthood. She has a passion for natural healing and the body’s innate knowing. More info

Mary Carlson

Mary is a certified birth doula through DONA. She has worked with pregnant and birthing women since 1987 in many capacities, including as a nurse, Certified Lactation Counselor, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, and doula. She provides current, evidence-based information to her clients so they can make informed choices that will be best for them and their baby (or babies!). She enjoys working with a wide range of clients. More info

Rhonda has been a doula since 2004, and has attended more than 175 births. She also takes incredible pictures as a birth photographer. She helps her clients to navigate through all the unknowns so that they can make the best decisions for themselves and their birth, ultimately helping them to have the best birth possible. More info
