About Chrstine:

With over a decade of experience, Christine has attended over 165 births as either a doula, midwife, or midwife’s assistant.  She serves all women and families, and supports doula clients who have unmedicated, induced, medicated, VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), and cesarean births.  It is a privilege and honor for Christine to serve clients at such a pivotal moment in their lives. She believes pregnancy is a time to be revered.

Christine received her doula training through DONA International in 2005, and completed her midwifery education through Midwives College of Utah, a MEAC-accredited program that meets the International Confederation of Midwives’ requirements. Christine passed the NARM (The North American Registry of Midwives) exam in 2017, to become a certified professional midwife (CPM).

In her four year midwifery clinical placement, she served homebirthing women and their families in Fargo-Moorhead. Her additional midwifery training occurred at two 4 week placements in free-standing birth centers both in and around Salt Lake City, Utah (Better Birth) and in and around Anchorage, Alaska (Integrative Women’s Wellness & Center for Birth). Throughout her clinical experience she was privileged to learn from six Certified Professional Midwives, two Certified Nurse Midwives, and one Obstetrician/Gynecologist.

Christine maintains certifications in CPR/Healthcare Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) and Neonatal Resuscitation. She is also a member of Minnesota Council of Certified Professional Midwives and Midwives Alliance of North America.  Prior to becoming a doula, Christine received her Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Christine is married to her best friend, John, and together they have six children (Jena, Aodan, Espen, Cormack, Fletcher, and Matthias). Christine enjoys watching TED Talks, taking nature walks, playing board/card games with her children, and binge watching the occasional TV series with her husband.
