A little about myself:
Rhonda lives in a country setting just outside of East Grand Forks, MN, with her husband and two of eight children whom still remain at home. She enjoys gardening, taking long walks, and all of their animals including several free-range chickens, their horses, cats and their dog, Shay. Rhonda has always been passionate about birth. When her friend explained what a doula does and mentioned a doula training she knew that was the perfect fit. One of Rhonda’s greatest joys is being a doula and helping women/families find their way on their birth journey. Families hire her to be their doula at their home birth and in the hospital. She works comfortably alongside midwives as a doula and a birth assistant. She also works in the hospitals with OB’s and doctors creating the personal addition to your birth team. Giving birth is one of life’s most beautiful and memorable moments but can also be a scary time as we tread unchartered waters. As your doula, she will help you and your partner to navigate through all the unknowns so that you can make the best decisions for you and your birth, ultimately helping you to have the best birth possible. Along with being a doula and birth assistant, Rhonda is also a midwifery student, a postpartum doula and birth photographer. Birth photography is becoming popular everywhere as couples realize birth as one of the most memorable days of their lives. Capturing it in still photography is a great way to recall all of the moments leading up to your birth and the immediate newborn period. Rhonda looks forward to each and every opportunity she is given to support, nurture and encourage mothers and their partners during one of life’s most amazing moments. Give Rhonda a call to set up a free consultation to visit with her about your options and to see if she might be a good addition to your birth team. 218-893-2215-h or 218-779-5826-c
